Supporting Children and Youth in Ontario

Seventy percent of mental health issues and illnesses begin in childhood or adolescence, with studies suggesting that 15 to 21 percent of Ontario's children and youth have at least one mental health disorder.

To help students with mental health or addiction challenges thrive at school, remain in school, or successfully transition back to school, school boards and Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) across the province have partnered through the Mental Health and Addictions (MHAN) Initiative.

This website is a community resource created through the MHAN initiative to help teachers, students, parents, and providers find local services that can help.
