Service Description:
  • Operates a fully-accredited, 60-bed acute care facility and provides an array of services
  • Administers the William A 'Bill' George Extended Care Facility


  • Offers a diabetes management and prevention program to assist individuals in understanding and managing their illness and to learn prevention measures
    • Provides both adult and pediatric services
    • Offers individual and group educational sessions and health promotion activities
    • Accepts walk-in patients
    Programs and services include:
    • Access to Traditional programs and medical interpreters
    • Basic and advanced foot care/assessment
    • Client support groups
    • Community screening
    • Cooking classes
    • Exercise programs
    • Grocery tours
    • Medication counselling and insulin teaching
    • Presentations to the public and to health care providers
    • School programs and visits
    Program services are provided through:
    • Dietitian (Adult and Pediatric)
    • Exercise therapist
    • Foot care provider
    • Nurse
    • Wellness counsellor
